Responsibilities
- Define and execute design verification test plans for electronic and mechatronic flight hardware.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve hardware reliability based on standards and test data.
- Analyze lab and field test data to calculate failure rates and recommend design improvements.
- Write or adapt computer scripts for testing and data analysis.
- Perform root cause analysis and failure analysis.
- Communicate technical recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
- Ensure follow-through on complex test plans through organizational skills.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline; M.S. or PhD preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in hardware reliability, design, or failure analysis.
- Familiarity with reliability test standards in consumer, automotive, and/or aerospace.
- Extensive experience with reliability engineering principles and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with hardware assembly and inspection.
- Proficiency in a programming language, preferably Python.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying test plans and results.
