Responsibilities
- Define and execute design verification test plans for electronic and mechatronic flight hardware.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve hardware reliability based on standards and test data.
- Analyze lab test data and field data to calculate failure rates and recommend design improvements.
- Write or adapt computer scripts to perform tests and analyze data.
- Perform root cause analysis and failure analysis.
- Work with external testing labs to define and complete testing.
- Communicate test plans, results, and recommendations to various stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in hardware reliability, design, or failure analysis.
- Familiarity with reliability test standards and methods in consumer, automotive, or aerospace sectors.
- Hands-on experience with hardware assembly, inspection, and modification.
- Working knowledge of a programming language (preferably Python).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage complex test plans.
