Responsibilities
- Brainstorm creative solutions to mechanical, manufacturing, and mechatronic problems
- Design aircraft elements and ground support infrastructure in CAD
- Sketch, design, build, and test prototypes or proof of concepts
- Perform detailed design of manufacturing-ready parts in CAD
- Conduct engineering analysis from hand calculations to FEA
- Collaborate with teammates and external vendors to implement designs
- Strive for data-driven decisions communicated throughout the team
Job Requirements
- BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of full-time professional industry experience
- Proficient in CAD software and EPDM (SolidWorks preferred)
- Experience in designing robust mechanical assemblies and electronics enclosures
- Knowledge of rapid prototyping fabrication and test methods
- Ability to work independently and within tight timelines
- Strong communication skills across functional teams
