Responsibilities
- Apply foundational test-design, DFM/DFT, and manufacturing-practice principles to create mechanical test fixtures.
- Design, prototype, and iterate on mechanical fixtures using SolidWorks.
- Own CAD development and documentation packages ensuring accuracy.
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers for fixture readiness and support build processes.
- Support mechanical and electrical debugging activities and document findings.
- Maintain and improve documentation practices using PLM systems.
- Contribute to cross-functional collaboration and communicate technical decisions.
Job Requirements
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in designing complex mechanical products.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and mechanical debugging techniques.
- Strong project-management and communication skills.
- Ability to create accurate engineering documentation and navigate PLM systems.
- Familiarity with basic electrical concepts and comfort with electrical debugging.
- Understanding of core manufacturing concepts and fixture design principles.
