Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design of new WHOOP bands and related wearable accessories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop user-centric and manufacturable solutions.
- Create and manage detailed CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
- Own and drive second sourcing initiatives for mechanical components.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and validation.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement design improvements.
- Help mentor junior team members and share best practices.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in consumer electronics or wearables.
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and mechanical drawing creation.
- Experience with soft goods integration and materials like silicones and plastics.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Passion for product development and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with FEA tools and rapid prototyping preferred.
