Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design from concept through production of WHOOP bands and accessories.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop durable and manufacturable solutions.
- Create and manage CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings for prototyping and production.
- Drive second sourcing initiatives for mechanical components to reduce manufacturing risk.
- Support product marketing for seasonal product launches.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement design improvements.
- Mentor junior team members and share best practices within the engineering organization.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in consumer electronics or wearables.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and mechanical drawing creation.
- Experience with soft goods integration and various manufacturing processes.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Passion for product development and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of wearables and human factors engineering preferred.
