Auxiliary Equipment & Valve Engineering Intern Summer 2026

The Auxiliary Equipment & Valve Engineering Intern will support Westinghouse’s mission to provide clean energy solutions while gaining hands-on experience in mechanical engineering through various projects.

• Perform engineering work to support design and construction of mechanical power plant equipment.
• Develop design requirements for pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and other equipment.
• Identify problems and propose solutions for assigned projects and tasks.
• Support senior engineering personnel in design and analysis efforts.
• Make technical evaluations to support engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team on technical products and systems.
• Gain insights into the energy industry and develop engineering skills.

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, nuclear, or materials engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Completed Sophomore year of college.
• No relocation assistance provided.
• Interest in clean energy solutions.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
