Responsibilities
- Work closely with a mentor and department employees to apply engineering knowledge.
- Collaborate with a team to solve real engineering challenges.
- Attend regular 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors for progress updates.
- Participate in tech talks and networking events with other interns and employees.
- Assist in turbopump team activities related to propulsion.
- Support manufacturing processes including additive manufacturing.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration to deliver results.
Job Requirements
- Enrollment in a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate program in engineering, physics, or math with at least one semester remaining post-internship.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- At least 3 months of applied engineering experience.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Solidworks, Catia, NX) is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
- Hands-on experience with hardware is a plus.
- Ability to work full-time on-site for a minimum of 12 weeks.
