Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to identify performance needs and opportunities for advanced technologies.
- Support the development of designs, build plans, and processes for prototypes.
- Estimate production times, material needs, and costs for project planning.
- Communicate project status, including schedule and cost updates, to management.
- Provide input on manufacturing methods, tooling, and equipment selections.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during prototype builds and testing activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of builds, tests, and engineering changes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience, preferably in heavy industry.
- Ability to conduct tests in various settings and conditions.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes.
- Proven project management skills and effective communication of technical concepts.
- 3D CAD experience is a plus; familiarity with locomotives or heavy equipment is a plus.
