Responsibilities
- Responsible for mechanical design, assembly, test, and integration of sensors, compute modules, and actuation systems.
- Collaborate with the software team to convert perception, planning, and control requirements into hardware specifications.
- Design for automotive requirements and environmental challenges.
- Support prototype and production module builds.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and external partners.
- Diagnose and drive resolution of technical issues.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar fields.
- Proficiency in Solidworks.
- Experience with technical drawing tolerancing for manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Familiarity with PLM tools and document revision control.
- Experience in testing and qualifying mechanical designs for on-road vehicle use.
- Technical ownership of hardware development from prototype to production.
