Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer at Vaxess is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated production equipment for their micro-array patch platform, which is focused on next-generation therapeutics.

• Design, implement, and maintain automated systems for manufacturing operations.
• Document equipment and procedures through specifications and drawings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Execute IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols for automated systems.
• Utilize 3D CAD software for mechanical design of fixtures and equipment.

• BS or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in automated systems for medical device manufacturing.
• Experience with URS, FAT, and SAT documents.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of mechanical linkages and fabrication techniques.
• Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
