Responsibilities
- Own or contribute to hardware or software design for spacecraft or payload development.
- Create or support test campaigns and build test stands.
- Perform necessary analysis to support development and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical projects.
- Engage with subject matter experts from various technical disciplines.
- Utilize mechanical CAD for design tasks.
- Operate and learn to use common hand tools and machine tools for fabrication.
Job Requirements
- Experience with mechanical CAD (NX preferred).
- Experience designing, building, and/or operating electromechanical hardware.
- Basic programming skills in at least one language (Python preferred).
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Experience on technical project teams (e.g., Rocket club, Formula SAE).
- Comfort using common hand tools and interest in learning machine tools.
