Responsibilities
- Own or contribute to hardware or software design to support development of spacecraft or payload.
- Create or support test campaigns and build test stands.
- Perform necessary analysis to support development and testing.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts from various technical disciplines.
- Work on impactful projects critical to Varda’s success.
- Utilize programming and mechatronics skills in project contributions.
- Gain experience in a collaborative startup environment.
Job Requirements
- Experience with mechanical CAD (NX preferred).
- Experience designing, building, and/or operating electromechanical hardware (motors, sensors, etc.).
- Basic programming skills in at least one language (Python preferred).
- Comfort using common hand tools and interest in learning machine tools.
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master’s degree in relevant engineering disciplines.
- Previous internship or co-op experience preferred.
- Experience on technical project teams (e.g., Rocket club, Formula SAE) is a plus.
