Responsibilities
- Own the design and development of mechanical systems
- Perform analysis on designs including hand calculations, FEA, and CAD
- Lead design reviews internally and externally with suppliers and customers
- Be responsible for project delivery timeline from design through production
- Exemplify technical excellence and accountability for work
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or physics
- 1+ years experience with CAD and FEA software packages
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical component or system design
- Leadership experience on an engineering or project team (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving skills, including failure analysis
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel as needed
