Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain single-line diagrams (SLDs) and schematics for power distribution systems.
- Perform load flow, short circuit, and protective device coordination studies.
- Select and specify electrical components such as transformers and switchgear.
- Design grounding and bonding systems; define overcurrent protection strategies.
- Generate design packages compliant with NEC and industry standards.
- Work with controls and mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems.
- Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in electrical design and power system engineering.
- Strong understanding of 480V 3-phase power systems.
- Proficiency in creating and interpreting electrical diagrams.
- Familiarity with electrical analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM PowerTools).
- Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and IEEE standards.
- Experience with specifying electrical components and protective devices.
