Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of engineers.
- Define the organization’s priorities and best practices for battery development.
- Own Oura’s battery technology roadmap and align it with product strategies.
- Partner with executives and cross-functional teams to ensure battery solutions meet user experience goals.
- Build strategic relationships with global battery suppliers.
- Provide technical guidance on battery safety and testing standards.
- Drive resolution of complex technical issues through root cause analysis.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in battery engineering, with 5 years in leadership roles.
- Proven success in building and scaling battery teams.
- Deep knowledge of Li-ion and emerging chemistries.
- Strong experience with battery safety and certifications.
- Background in supplier engagement and vendor ecosystems.
- Excellent communication skills and strategic thinking ability.
