Responsibilities
- Perform CAD work under the guidance of the Lead Mechanical Engineer.
- Design custom brackets with a focus on DFM, DFA, and cost efficiency.
- Integrate 3rd party electromechanical devices into robotic systems.
- Fit electrical components within protective enclosures in robot chassis.
- Develop modular mounting systems and access panels for maintenance.
- Wire components and design cable runs and connectors.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in CAD software (Fusion360, AutoCAD, Solidworks, or PTC Creo).
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (3D printing, CNC machining, etc.).
- Ability to conceptualize and discuss 3D parts for design.
- Strong desire to learn and improve engineering skills.
- Capability to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Knowledge of tolerance analysis and material selection for design.
