Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models using CAD software (Fusion360, AutoCAD, Solidworks, or PTC Creo).
- Integrate 3rd party electromechanical devices into robotic designs.
- Design custom brackets with a focus on manufacturing processes and cost.
- Fit electrical components within protective enclosures in robot chassis.
- Develop modular mounting systems and access panels for ease of maintenance.
- Perform wiring of components, including cable runs and connector design.
- Generate accurate engineering drawings and maintain documentation of design processes.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in CAD software (Fusion360, AutoCAD, Solidworks, or PTC Creo).
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (3D printing, CNC machining, etc.).
- Ability to work independently after receiving high-level tasks.
- Strong desire to learn and improve engineering skills.
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Familiarity with tolerance analysis and material selection for design.
- Experience with prototyping and project workflow optimization.
