Responsibilities
- CAD work under the direction of the Lead Mechanical Engineer.
- Integration of 3rd party electromechanical devices into robotic designs.
- Custom bracket design focusing on manufacturing processes and cost.
- Fitting electrical components within robot chassis and navigation stacks.
- Designing modular mounting systems and access panels for maintenance.
- Wiring components and designing cable runs and connectors.
- Creating detailed 2D and 3D models using CAD software.
Job Requirements
- Proficient in CAD software (Fusion360, AutoCAD, Solidworks, or PTC Creo).
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (3D printing, CNC machining, etc.).
- Ability to work independently on high-level tasks.
- Strong desire to learn and improve engineering skills.
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Experience in generating accurate engineering drawings.
- Ability to perform basic tolerance analysis and material selection.
