Responsibilities
- Work closely with the vehicle design team to minimize cost impact of part design changes.
- New packaging design, development, and approval.
- Manage individual KPIs related to safety, quality, and cost reduction.
- Develop and manage a master schedule for packaging availability to support vehicle launch.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in vehicle plants for packaging integration into production and delivery plans.
- Design optimal Tier 1 packaging that integrates with automation, working with supply chain stakeholders.
- Support daily operations and address packaging-related quality issues or kaizen opportunities.
Job Requirements
- Engineering degree in Packaging, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar, with 3+ years of experience.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Strong knowledge of packaging development processes and integration into manufacturing facilities.
- Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.
- Experience in project management and milestone tracking.
