The R&D Engineering Intern at Thermo Fisher Scientific will work on projects aimed at improving efficiency and operational processes while receiving mentorship and leadership development opportunities. The role is designed for undergraduate students pursuing an engineering-related degree.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to identify and address areas for efficiency improvement.
- Critically review specific processes and recommend improvement opportunities.
- Use specialized equipment and instrumentation with limited supervision.
- Develop tools and models to enhance tracking and efficiency.
- Learn and promote continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., PPI, Six Sigma).
- Collaborate with functions including program management, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and finance.
- Participate in a 12-month University placement as part of the internship.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate student pursuing an engineering-related degree.
- 0 years of work experience required; previous internships preferred.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Native or proficient in English.
- Ability to be onsite; this is not a remote opportunity.
