Responsibilities
- Develop, port, debug, and document core firmware support for various features on AMD SoCs.
- Support emulation/simulation teams during the pre-silicon phase to validate hardware and firmware components.
- Collaborate with hardware validation teams to optimize performance of IP subsystems.
- Develop custom firmware features for internal and external customers.
- Engage with technical leads to understand firmware scope and implementation timelines.
- Ensure high quality and satisfaction throughout the firmware lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with distributed technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements
- Strong knowledge of computer architecture and low-level programming in C.
- Familiarity with UEFI BIOS development and at least one BIOS code base.
- Understanding of memory industry standards and technologies.
- Experience in firmware development cycle and validation for SoC designs.
- Expertise in low-level C programming and debugging for embedded systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
