Responsibilities
- Develop, port, debug, and document core firmware support for various features on AMD SoCs.
- Support emulation/simulation teams during the pre-silicon phase for SOC validation.
- Collaborate with hardware validation teams to optimize IP subsystem performance.
- Develop custom firmware features for customers.
- Engage with technical leads to implement firmware scope within schedules.
- Ensure quality and satisfaction throughout the firmware lifecycle with internal and external teams.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Job Requirements
- Strong knowledge of computer architecture and low-level programming in C.
- Familiarity with UEFI BIOS development and at least one BIOS code base.
- Understanding of firmware development cycle and verification for SoC designs.
- Experience with hardware/software interfaces and debugging using JTAG and debuggers.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
