Responsibilities
- Develop firmware and enable features in the Infinity Fabric interconnect across AMD products.
- Enhance Python-based tools for processing complex data to produce hardware initialization binaries.
- Collaborate with architects and other IP leads to define firmware scope and implementation details.
- Perform unit and integration testing, providing debug support in emulation and post-silicon environments.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
- Work with teams to ensure high quality throughout the firmware lifecycle.
Job Requirements
- Experience in the firmware development cycle and understanding of verification/validation for SoC designs.
- Proficiency in low-level C programming and software optimization for embedded systems.
- Strong skills in Python and Linux scripting for data parsing and processing.
- Familiarity with computer architecture concepts such as memory interleaving and NUMA.
- Prior experience with board and processor/ASIC bring-up and testing.
- Knowledge of hardware/software interfaces and debugging at various system levels.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
