Responsibilities
- Responsible for firmware development and feature enablement in the Infinity Fabric interconnect across all AMD products.
- Enhance python-based tools for processing complex data for hardware initialization.
- Collaborate with architects and IP leads to define firmware scope and implementation.
- Perform unit and integration tests, providing debug support in various environments.
- Participate actively in design and code reviews.
- Work with teams to ensure quality and satisfaction throughout the firmware lifecycle.
- Document work concisely and ensure code quality and robustness.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in firmware development cycle and understanding of verification/validation for SoC designs.
- Expertise in low-level C programming and debugging for embedded systems.
- Strong skills in Python and Linux scripting for data processing.
- Background in computer architecture and familiarity with memory interleaving and NUMA concepts.
- Experience in board and processor/ASIC bring-up and testing platforms.
- Familiarity with hardware/software interfaces and debugging sophisticated issues.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with distributed teams.
