Responsibilities
- Develop and apply advanced techniques for solving flight mechanics and astrodynamics problems.
- Perform trajectory simulation and optimization for various vehicles.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research and technical programs.
- Apply standard techniques to carry out engineering tasks.
- Participate in full life-cycle projects from inception through launch.
- Communicate effectively and manage projects within a team environment.
- Adapt to changing organizational needs and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
Job Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in aeronautical or astronautical engineering, physics, or applied mathematics.
- Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks.
- Completed first year of graduate school by internship start date.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0, with preference for 3.5 or higher.
- Experience in orbit mechanics, hypersonic flight simulation, or related fields.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, Fortran, Python, or MATLAB.
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance; US Citizenship required.
