Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply advanced techniques for solving flight mechanics and astrodynamics problems.
  • Perform trajectory simulation and optimization for various vehicles.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research and technical programs.
  • Apply standard techniques to carry out engineering tasks.
  • Participate in full life-cycle projects from inception through launch.
  • Communicate effectively and manage projects within a team environment.
  • Adapt to changing organizational needs and demonstrate strong organizational skills.

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in aeronautical or astronautical engineering, physics, or applied mathematics.
  • Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks.
  • Completed first year of graduate school by internship start date.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0, with preference for 3.5 or higher.
  • Experience in orbit mechanics, hypersonic flight simulation, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, Fortran, Python, or MATLAB.
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance; US Citizenship required.
