Responsibilities
- Lead machine safety design across vehicle, energy, and AI products.
- Perform technical analyses on designs for automation and manufacturing equipment.
- Ensure compliance with ANSI, ISO, RIA, NFPA, IBC, and OSHA standards.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for equipment safety.
- Collaborate with internal teams to review and improve safety in designs.
- Conduct safety training for teams on automation safety design principles.
- Contribute to Tesla's hardware and software safety standards for equipment development.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or Industrial Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in safety engineering, preferably in AI, robotics, or manufacturing.
- Proficiency with safety validation and design software.
- Advanced understanding of safety systems relevant to AI and robotics.
- Ability to work under pressure in dynamic environments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel for testing and commissioning.
