Responsibilities
- Participate in the installation and sequencing of machines and workstations to enhance production efficiency.
- Assist engineers in preparing engineering process documentation.
- Analyze manufacturing methods and suggest layouts to improve productivity.
- Gather and analyze process information for statistical process control and cost analysis.
- Research design proposals to minimize waste and cost while suggesting modifications for production facilitation.
- Conduct periodic inspections of manufacturing processes, including assembly and machine operations.
- Collaborate with design engineers to evaluate new product designs for manufacturability.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.) from an ABET accredited program.
- Knowledge of mechanical or industrial engineering principles.
- Familiarity with Solidworks or equivalent CAD software.
- Technical writing skills for preparing documentation.
- Hands-on experience with CNC equipment preferred.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
