2026 Design Engineer Co-op

The role is part of the Terex Early Talent Program, focusing on design engineering within the New Product Development team. It involves working on real-world projects that contribute to business outcomes while developing leadership potential.

• Participate in the New Product Development team in Design Engineering.
• Develop concept and product design solutions individually or in teams.
• Conduct analysis and testing to verify functionality, strength, and safety.
• Design, prototype, assemble, troubleshoot, and validate design improvements.
• Create detailed engineering documentation for product improvements and new technology projects.
• Take ownership of real work assignments to gain valuable experience.
• Engage in cross-functional projects that support strategic business goals.

• Currently pursuing an ABET accredited bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) for 6 months in-person.
• Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SolidWorks.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proactive in seeking help and asking questions when needed.
• Fundamental understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical concepts.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
