Responsibilities
- Assist in product development cycle tasks including concept, design, and analysis.
- Participate in the documentation and prototype assembly of mechanical systems.
- Gain experience in sheet metal packaging, mechanisms, and pneumatic/electronic controls systems.
- Collaborate with engineers on mechanical, AC power distribution, and controls design projects.
- Utilize 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) for design tasks.
- Perform stress and strain calculations, both manually and using FEA.
- Use pneumatic and electric hand tools, as well as shop tools like a mill.
Job Requirements
- Senior level Mechanical Engineering student or equivalent.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA in relevant engineering coursework.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD using SolidWorks.
- Experience in robotics design and assembly.
- Knowledge of microcontroller programming (e.g., Arduino).
- Completed coursework in Machine Design, Solid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and Electronics.
- Safe working knowledge of AC power and wiring.
