Responsibilities
- Develop specifications, requirements, and validation plans.
- Detail design of mechanical parts to meet design requirements (sheetmetal/machined parts).
- Define and perform verification testing to ensure quality of mechanical design.
- Document components and assemblies.
- Build initial prototypes for validation and design verification.
- Prepare presentations to explain work and design proposals to remote teams.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in electro-mechanical design.
- Familiarity with Solidworks (or similar) and PDM tools.
- Experience with sheetmetal/machined part design and stress/strain analysis (FEA).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work successfully with a team and in a remote environment.
- BS or MS in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Curiosity and eagerness to take on new challenges.
