Responsibilities
- Develop detailed design solutions from product requirements.
- Present design proposals to design and manufacturing engineers.
- Perform Design for Manufacturing (DFM) with vendors.
- Prepare final drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for fabrication.
- Build initial prototypes for validation and design verification.
- Document components and assemblies.
- Define and perform verification testing to ensure design quality.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in electro-mechanical design.
- Proficiency in Solidworks (or similar) and PDM tools.
- Familiarity with sheetmetal and machined part design.
- Knowledge of stress/strain analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work successfully in a team and remotely.
- BS or MS in mechanical engineering or a related field.
