Responsibilities
- Design and build hardware systems for automotive and energy storage applications.
- Develop and optimize designs in 3D CAD software with associated CAE tools.
- Validate manufacturing, assembly, and service feasibility.
- Create designs interactively with the multidisciplinary team.
- Complete and release component designs and documentation, including 2D drawings.
- Integrate mechanical designs with high-voltage electrical systems.
- Optimize mechanical designs for size, weight, durability, performance, manufacturability, and cost.
Job Requirements
- 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Automotive powertrain experience, especially with EV systems.
- Strong 3D CAD skills and proficiency in at least one professional 3D CAD package.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding and sheet metal stamping.
- Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Demonstrated understanding of GD&T and experience with component design and validation.
- Great technical and interpersonal communication skills.
