Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

The role involves designing and developing next-generation mechanical systems for electrification, particularly in automotive and energy storage applications. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will work within a multidisciplinary team to translate innovative products to market.

• Design and build hardware systems for automotive and energy storage applications.
• Develop and optimize designs using 3D CAD software.
• Validate manufacturing, assembly, and service feasibility.
• Create designs interactively with the multidisciplinary team.
• Complete and release component designs and documentation, including 2D drawings.
• Integrate mechanical designs with high-voltage electrical systems.
• Optimize mechanical designs for various factors including size, weight, and cost.

• 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in automotive powertrain systems, particularly EV powertrain.
• Strong 3D CAD skills and understanding of GD&T.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes like injection molding and die casting.
• Excellent technical and interpersonal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on mechanical fabrication and prototyping experience.
