Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Long Beach Recovery Operations Reliability.
- Interact with disciplines responsible for post-mission recovery of Falcon, Dragon, and Fairings.
- Identify risks during vehicle processing or recovery vessel refurbishment and implement improvements.
- Lead investigations for root cause and corrective actions.
- Maintain a feedback loop to drive hardware inputs for reliable recovery.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure design for quality and manufacturability.
- Adopt a Lean approach to quality without compromising safety or reliability.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, test, or design engineering.
- Experience with complex fluids, mechanical, electro-mechanical, or marine systems.
- Knowledge of quality tools like Lean principles and Six Sigma.
- Ability to pass Air Force background check.
- Availability for extended hours and working directly with hardware.
- Must conform to U.S. Government export regulations.
