Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Long Beach Recovery Operations Reliability.
- Interact with disciplines responsible for post-mission recovery to optimize processes and designs.
- Identify and implement improvements to hardware and processes for operational excellence.
- Lead root cause and corrective action investigations for major problems.
- Maintain a feedback loop to drive hardware inputs for reliable recovery.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure quality and manufacturability considerations are met.
- Adopt a Lean approach to quality while ensuring safety and reliability.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, test, or design engineering.
- Experience with complex fluids, mechanical, electro-mechanical, or marine systems.
- Knowledge of quality tools such as Lean principles and root cause analysis.
- Ability to pass an Air Force background check.
- Willingness to work extended hours as required.
- Physical ability to work with hardware on the floor for extended periods.
