Responsibilities
- Serve as the responsible engineer for the design and qualification of electromechanical components.
- Conduct thermal, structural, dynamic, and tolerance analysis for assemblies.
- Participate in mechanical design and creation of production drawings.
- Perform failure analysis related to thermal, loads, vibration, and shock.
- Interface with machine shops and production teams for design production.
- Manage the hardware delivery timeline through design, assembly, test, and integration.
- Participate in design reviews with suppliers and customers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience in mechanical/electromechanical hardware design and analysis.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and hands-on experience in design.
- Proficiency in hand calculations, finite element analyses (FEA), and CAD software.
- Knowledge of power component design fundamentals (e.g., motors, inverters, batteries).
- Experience with high volume production designs focusing on manufacturability.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
