Responsibilities
- Serve as the responsible engineer for the design, analysis, fabrication, and qualification of high-voltage batteries and other electromechanical components.
- Conduct thermal, structural, dynamic, and tolerance analysis for electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Participate in mechanical design, 3D modeling, and production drawing creation.
- Perform failure analysis of components related to thermal loads, vibration, and shock.
- Interface with machine shops and production teams to ensure designs meet project goals.
- Own the hardware delivery timeline through design, assembly, testing, and integration.
- Participate in internal and external design reviews.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Experience with mechanical/electromechanical hardware design and analysis.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and hands-on experience with electromechanical design.
- Proficiency in hand calculations, finite element analyses (FEA), and CAD software.
- Knowledge of power component design fundamentals (e.g., motors, inverters, batteries).
- Exposure to high volume production designs focused on manufacturability.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team.
