Responsibilities
- Perform fluids system sizing analysis to determine basic system requirements
- Transform system requirements into hardware concepts and trade implementation options
- Design pressurized and unpressurized structures and parts, creating CAD models and prints
- Perform structural analysis of parts and components for survivability
- Execute design for manufacturability changes to enhance production efficiency
- Drive the first builds of flight hardware and collaborate with manufacturing teams
- Coordinate development, qualification, and acceptance testing of flight hardware
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics
- 1+ years of mechanical or fluids design, analysis, or build experience
- Preferred experience with fluid dynamics and finite element analysis software
- Familiarity with pressurized components and mechanical design
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Willingness to relocate to Starbase, TX
- Compliance with ITAR requirements for U.S. citizenship or residency
