Responsibilities
- Perform fluids system sizing analysis to determine system requirements.
- Transform system requirements into hardware concepts and trade implementation options.
- Design pressurized and unpressurized structures and parts, creating CAD models and prints.
- Perform structural analysis of components to ensure survivability.
- Execute design for manufacturability changes to enhance production efficiency.
- Drive the first builds of flight hardware and collaborate with manufacturing teams.
- Coordinate development, qualification, and acceptance testing of flight hardware.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics.
- 1+ years of mechanical or fluids design, analysis, or build experience.
- Experience with fluid dynamics and finite element modeling preferred.
- Familiarity with pressurized components and mechanical design considerations.
- Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) software and CAD packages.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet physical requirements and work extended hours as necessary.
