Responsibilities
- Own mechanical engineering work packages for the production site, focusing on large mechanisms.
- Design elements of multidisciplinary projects from conceptual feasibility to construction completion.
- Perform engineering analyses, designs, and calculations.
- Create mechanism design drawings and design summary presentations.
- Estimate material quantities, schedules, and costs for construction projects.
- Manage construction contracts and perform project control tasks.
- Interact with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related discipline.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical systems.
- Preferred experience includes construction or manufacturing design.
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics and finite element modeling.
- Experience with large construction and mechanical design.
- Familiarity with CAD and PLM systems, especially Unigraphics NX.
- Ability to work in extreme environments and at elevated heights.
