Responsibilities
- Design and analyze mechanical systems for launch pads, recovery, and production tooling.
- Demonstrate complete end-to-end project ownership, coordinating the build, testing, and activation of hardware.
- Collaborate closely with launch operations teams to meet product expectations.
- Apply technical knowledge in structural sizing, mechanisms, and design while considering cost and schedule.
- Present cost and schedule trade proposals to leadership.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of professional experience using design software (NX, CATIA, Creo, or Solidworks) or simulation software (ANSYS, ABAQUS, or FEMAP).
- Experience in designing, analyzing, or building mechanical structures.
- Strong understanding of GD&T.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Willingness to travel and flexibility in work schedule.
- Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral.
