Responsibilities
- Own hardware and mechanisms from conceptual design through production and on-orbit operations.
- Develop design criteria and collaborate on requirements for system optimization.
- Rapidly iterate on designs and analysis to inform system trades and product direction.
- Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) focusing on cost, complexity, and quality.
- Establish an efficient product lifecycle from supply chain through integration.
- Perform environmental and performance testing on hardware.
- Own product delivery timelines through all stages of development and production.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or STEM discipline.
- 1+ years of experience with mechanical and/or electromechanical design.
- Experience with CAD or FEA software packages.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Solid understanding and application of GD&T.
- Demonstrated ability to work within an integrated engineering team.
- Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
