Responsibilities
- Own hardware and mechanisms from conceptual design through production and on-orbit operations.
- Develop design criteria and collaborate on requirements for system-level optimization.
- Rapidly iterate on designs and analysis to inform systems trades and product direction.
- Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) to optimize production processes and performance.
- Establish an efficient product lifecycle from supply chain to integration.
- Perform environmental and performance testing on hardware to validate design compliance.
- Manage product delivery timelines through all stages of development and production.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or STEM discipline.
- Experience with CAD or FEA software packages.
- 1+ years of experience with mechanical and/or electromechanical design and analysis.
- Master’s degree preferred in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Understanding of GD&T and structural analysis of mechanical systems.
- Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
