Responsibilities
- Own hardware and mechanisms from conceptual design through volume production and on-orbit operations.
- Develop design criteria and collaborate on requirements for system-level optimization.
- Rapidly iterate on designs to inform high-level systems trades.
- Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) focusing on reducing part counts and ensuring consistent performance.
- Establish an efficient product lifecycle from supply chain to final integration.
- Perform environmental and performance testing on hardware to validate designs.
- Manage product delivery timelines through all stages of development and production.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or STEM discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical and/or electromechanical design and analysis.
- Experience with CAD or FEA software.
- Understanding of GD&T and structural analysis of mechanical systems.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to work long hours and travel as necessary.
