Responsibilities
- Own hardware and mechanisms from conceptual design through production and on-orbit operations.
- Develop design criteria and collaborate on requirements for system-level optimization.
- Rapidly iterate on designs and analysis to inform high-level systems trades.
- Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) focusing on reducing complexity and ensuring performance metrics.
- Establish an efficient product lifecycle from supply chain to final integration.
- Perform environmental and performance testing on hardware to validate design compliance.
- Manage product delivery timeline from conception through launch.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or STEM discipline.
- Experience with CAD or FEA software packages.
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical and/or electromechanical design and analysis.
- Master’s degree in engineering is preferred.
- Solid understanding of GD&T and structural analysis of mechanical systems.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance and work long hours as needed.
