Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturable flow control devices and mechanisms for Starship and Super Heavy systems.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, production, testing, and supply chain to maximize component build rates.
- Maintain detailed drawings, specifications, analysis, and risk assessments.
- Lead root cause investigations in development, production, and testing, implementing corrective actions.
- Set standards for component design and qualification testing.
- Target zero in-flight anomalies and reduce production and launch delays.
- Collaborate with teams to inform system-level architecture and optimize payload costs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of mechanical design/hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in designing and analyzing mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of fluid systems and solid mechanics principles.
- Leadership experience in project or research teams.
- Familiarity with test instrumentation and control components.
