Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturable flow control devices and mechanisms for Starship and Super Heavy.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and testing teams to achieve high component build rates.
- Generate detailed drawings, specifications, and risk assessments.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Set standards for component design and qualification testing.
- Aim for zero in-flight anomalies and minimize production delays.
- Act as chief engineer, collaborating on system-level architecture.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of mechanical design/hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Experience in designing and analyzing mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of fluid systems and solid mechanics.
- Leadership experience on projects or research teams.
- Familiarity with test instrumentation and control components.
