Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturable flow control devices and mechanisms for Starship and Super Heavy systems.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and production to achieve high component build rates.
- Generate detailed drawings, specifications, and risk assessments for components.
- Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for failures.
- Set standards for component design and qualification testing.
- Aim for zero in-flight anomalies and minimize production delays.
- Act as the chief engineer, simplifying solutions for vehicle architecture.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of mechanical design/hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for optimizing rocket production.
- Experience in designing and analyzing mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience with fluid, gas, or high voltage systems.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical devices and fluid systems.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
