Responsibilities
- Develop manufacturable flow control devices and mechanisms for Starship and Super Heavy systems.
- Partner with various teams to achieve high component build rates and factory yield.
- Generate detailed drawings, specifications, and risk assessments.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Set standards for component design and qualification testing.
- Target zero in-flight anomalies and minimize production delays.
- Collaborate with teams to inform system-level architecture and cost efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of mechanical design/hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Experience in designing and analyzing mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of fluid systems and solid mechanics.
- Hands-on experience with fluid, gas, or high voltage systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
