Responsibilities
- Design and implement electro-mechanical assembly and test processes
- Collaborate with the mechanical design team for design for manufacturability
- Lead prototype builds to meet production development milestones
- Ensure manufacturing systems meet high volume rate, cost, and quality targets
- Lead facilities development, floor layout, headcount, and material flow definition
- Identify and implement tooling and hardware requirements into production processes
- Evaluate automation opportunities and establish requirements for production lines
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in high volume commercial or automotive manufacturing
- Proven ability to transition products from design to manufacturing
- Familiarity with DOE, gage R&R, and process qualifications
- Ability to design tooling for high volume manufacturing
- Experience with ERP, MRP, and MES systems
