Responsibilities
- Responsible for the build and inspection process for composite structures across the Dragon 2 capsule.
- Develop, qualify, and refine manufacturing processes to meet design and business requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to solve production challenges.
- Evaluate designs for manufacturability and implementation in a production environment.
- Resolve product non-conformances and implement corrective actions with the quality team.
- Identify and execute upgrades to meet production demands.
- Oversee production processes including lamination, machining, and final assembly.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferred: Master's degree in mechanical, materials, or aerospace engineering.
- 2+ years of industry experience with composite structures.
- Familiarity with advanced composites manufacturing processes.
- Experience writing work instructions for aerospace hardware.
- Mechanical design analysis experience using 3D CAD software.
