Responsibilities
- Oversee the build and inspection process for composite structures in the Dragon 2 capsule.
- Develop and refine manufacturing processes to meet design and business requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to address production challenges.
- Evaluate designs for manufacturability with design engineers.
- Resolve product non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Plan and execute upgrades for capital equipment and production layouts.
- Facilitate production of flight-qualified composite structures efficiently.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferred: Master's degree in mechanical, materials, or aerospace engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in composite structures and/or large mechanical assemblies.
- Familiarity with advanced composites manufacturing processes.
- Experience with writing work instructions and procedures for aerospace hardware.
- Experience with design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA).
