Responsibilities
- Responsible for the build and inspection process for composite structures across the Dragon 2 capsule.
- Develop, qualify, and refine manufacturing processes to meet design and business requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to solve production challenges.
- Evaluate designs for manufacturability with design engineers.
- Resolve product non-conformances and collaborate with the quality team.
- Identify and execute upgrades for capital equipment and production layouts.
- Oversee composite hardware production, including acceptance testing and final assembly.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Master's degree in mechanical, materials, or aerospace engineering (preferred).
- 2+ years of industry experience with composite structures (preferred).
- Experience with advanced composites manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with test procedures for structural composites.
- Experience with design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA).
