Responsibilities
- Responsible for the build and inspection process for composite structures across the Dragon 2 capsule.
- Develop, qualify, and refine manufacturing processes to meet design and business requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to solve production challenges.
- Evaluate designs for manufacturability in a rapidly evolving production environment.
- Resolve product non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Identify and execute upgrades to meet production demand.
- Oversee composite hardware through all production stages.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Master's degree in mechanical, materials, or aerospace engineering preferred.
- 2+ years of experience with composite structures in manufacturing.
- Familiarity with test procedures and non-destructive evaluation of composites.
- Experience with design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA).
- Ability to work extended hours and with hardware on the floor.
