Electrical Engineer (Critical Infrastructure)

The Electrical Engineer (Critical Infrastructure) at SpaceX will design, build, and activate advanced manufacturing facilities, focusing on high power electrical systems for new construction projects. The role involves collaboration with various engineering disciplines and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Design and specify electrical power distribution systems and related equipment.
• Provide electrical engineering support for troubleshooting existing electrical equipment.
• Conduct load flow analysis and evaluate electrical equipment.
• Ensure compatibility of electrical systems with facility power budgets.
• Coordinate electrical installations with local utilities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Perform code review and analysis.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical projects and power distribution systems.
• Preferred 5+ years of experience and a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Ability to read and understand power and control schematics.
• Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and medium voltage distribution.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Hawthorne, CA if not local.
