Responsibilities
- Solve complex mechanical, thermal, magnetic, and fluid system problems for space-grade hardware.
- Own hardware from conceptual design through production and on-orbit operations.
- Collaborate with thermal, materials, electrical, mechanical, software, and GNC teams.
- Develop design criteria and drive system-level optimization through rapid iterations.
- Establish efficient product lifecycle processes balancing cost, complexity, and quality.
- Perform vacuum chamber tests and validate hardware performance against design criteria.
- Conduct root cause investigations for hardware failures and non-conformances.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Experience with CAD and FEA software.
- 1+ years of industry experience.
- Master’s degree or 3+ years of professional experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with propulsion systems design and testing.
- Familiarity with fluid dynamics and finite element modeling.
- Experience with manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFMA).
