Responsibilities

  • Solve complex mechanical, thermal, magnetic, and fluid system problems for space-grade hardware.
  • Own hardware from conceptual design through production and on-orbit operations.
  • Collaborate with thermal, materials, electrical, mechanical, software, and GNC teams.
  • Develop design criteria and drive system-level optimization through rapid iterations.
  • Establish efficient product lifecycle processes balancing cost, complexity, and quality.
  • Perform vacuum chamber tests and validate hardware performance against design criteria.
  • Conduct root cause investigations for hardware failures and non-conformances.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience with CAD and FEA software.
  • 1+ years of industry experience.
  • Master’s degree or 3+ years of professional experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with propulsion systems design and testing.
  • Familiarity with fluid dynamics and finite element modeling.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFMA).
