Responsibilities
- Create test stand concepts, fabrication drawings, wiring schematics, and instrumentation lists
- Design and analyze structures, fluid systems, and mechanisms
- Supervise the integration of test stands including fabrication, mechanical assembly, and data/control systems
- Operate test stands with a high degree of attention to detail
- Conduct development tests for new structures, components, and mechanisms
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure successful project completion
- Maintain and troubleshoot test equipment as necessary
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical structures design or analysis
- Preferred Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
- Understanding of GD&T principles
- Experience with Unigraphics (NX) and finite element analysis (FEA)
- Hands-on design and fabrication experience
- Basic programming skills (Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS preferred)
