Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to design processes and requirements for flight, launch, and recovery systems.
- Provide peer review and approval of hardware designs during design reviews and testing campaigns.
- Develop design criteria, requirements, and verification approaches for new systems.
- Establish processes for reliable operations of launch vehicles and spacecraft.
- Drive improvements in vehicle design through collaboration with hardware teams.
- Review vehicle changes to ensure qualifications of hardware and operations.
- Develop design and analysis tools for engineering groups.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of professional experience in an engineering role.
- Preferred: Master's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Hardware experience in fabrication, assembly, or testing.
- Experience with aerospace systems, including aircraft and launch vehicles.
- Familiarity with commercial FEA packages (e.g., NASTRAN, ABAQUS, ANSYS).
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing tools and techniques.
