Responsibilities
- Partner with design engineering and manufacturing teams to create quality plans for flight hardware.
- Develop, implement, and validate Lean test and inspection processes for products.
- Monitor product and process success during production ramp-up using quality tools.
- Conduct build quality reviews to ensure design intent is achieved.
- Investigate production, test, and flight failures to improve reliability.
- Provide guidance on quarantining and rework of non-conforming products.
- Support continuous improvement and Lean production system advancements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics.
- 1+ years in a manufacturing, quality, or design engineering role.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Master’s degree in relevant engineering fields preferred.
- Knowledge of quality tools and Lean principles.
- Experience with complex mechanical assemblies and propulsion systems.
- Ability to work extended hours and offsite as needed.
