Automation & Controls Engineer (Starship Launch Pad)

The Automation & Controls Engineer at SpaceX will focus on designing and integrating automation systems for the Starship Launch Pad, utilizing knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems to enhance launch infrastructure.

• Design and build controls infrastructure for ground support equipment.
• Maintain operational capability of control voltage levels electrical systems.
• Develop and upgrade data acquisition and control systems.
• Create new automation systems to support launch and test infrastructure.
• Provide technical support for controls technicians and other groups.
• Develop new hardware and processes to improve capabilities and reduce costs.
• Analyze data to assess function and health of electrical systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in physics, electrical engineering, or computer engineering.
• 6+ months of experience with data acquisition systems (internship/project experience qualifies).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment.
• Knowledge of high-reliability processes and documentation practices.
• Experience with designing and troubleshooting data acquisition and control hardware.
