Responsibilities
- Lead overall system mechanical design, including CAD implementation of primary architectural elements.
- Lead interactions with the industrial design team.
- Manage detailed design and validation with engineering and manufacturing partners.
- Anticipate and respond to challenges in manufacturing.
- Build capabilities of the team and relationships with business/product owners.
- Engage in both product design and detailed engineering levels.
- Create low and high-fidelity prototypes for design and functional assessment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience leading mechanical design for small consumer products.
- Strong product design approach and hands-on capability.
- Experience with new product development from concept through mass production.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to bridge small core teams with large organizations.
- Interest and passion for gaming, digital entertainment, and technology is vital.
