Responsibilities
- Design mechanical parts and assemblies for aircraft and accessories.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers on custom PCBAs and other components.
- Interface with vendors and manage technical activities in partnership with operations.
- Define and execute engineering tests to evaluate designs.
- Drive designs from prototyping to mass production, supporting manufacturing teams.
- Debug and investigate failures to identify root causes.
- Produce thorough mechanical part and assembly drawings.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Product development experience with a proven track record.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD, specifically CATIA preferred.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC machining).
- Ability to prototype quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Passion for mechanical design at all levels of detail.
