Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain production-grade embedded firmware for the photonic diagnostic platform.
- Architect system modules, hardware-abstraction layers, and inter-module communication.
- Translate functional needs into verifiable software requirements and design specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive system behavior.
- Lead firmware contributions to hazard analysis and risk-control implementation.
- Diagnose complex issues across firmware and electro-mechanical subsystems.
- Optimize real-time control loops and ensure long-term maintainability of the firmware stack.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in EE, CE, CS, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in C/C++ and experience with major MCU families.
- Familiarity with RTOS environments and electro-mechanical motion control.
- Proven ability to architect complex firmware systems with a focus on reliability and safety.
- Exceptional debugging skills across hardware and firmware interfaces.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with embedded firmware for medical devices or diagnostics is highly desirable.
