Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for a team of engineers and technicians in designing and building battery processing equipment.
- Balance resources and objectives in a fast-paced environment.
- Attract, hire, onboard, and retain top engineering talent.
- Contribute technically to system designs from concept to operational support.
- Review and approve key design process work and test plans.
- Support existing tools and drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate design decisions and experimental outcomes clearly to various stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in building and leading technical teams.
- Strong collaborative problem-solving and communication skills.
- Solid mechanical design fundamentals and experience with complex assemblies.
- Expertise in lab or industrial automation platforms and programming.
- Experience in R&D/laboratory settings with open-ended technical challenges.
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical/Controls Engineering, or related fields.
- 15 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a startup environment.
