Responsibilities
- Develop prototype intravascular devices and administration devices for delivering therapies.
- Define detailed requirements for devices.
- Support design and development of microsphere formulations.
- Manage relationships with external consultants for device design.
- Design new parts and subsystems for intravascular therapy devices.
- Conduct complex test plans and quality assurance testing.
- Write technical documentation and maintain FDA compliant Design History Files.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
- 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably in medical devices.
- Experience with mechanical design of flow-directed medical devices.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for engineering design.
- Familiarity with medical device regulatory and quality issues.
- Experience in defining requirements and performing design verification.
- Knowledge of biocompatibility standards for medical devices is preferred.
