Responsibilities
- Lead the design of electro-mechanical sub-assemblies to meet performance and reliability targets.
- Manage the total vehicle Bill of Materials and ensure accuracy in part numbering and assembly detailing.
- Collaborate with Electrical, Firmware, and NPI teams for cohesive vehicle platform integration.
- Enforce CAD modeling, GD&T, and assembly detailing standards for high-quality production releases.
- Monitor mechanical risks through testing and mitigate failures during deployments.
- Support pilot production builds and adhere to Design for Manufacturing standards.
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts for deployed systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical systems design, with 3+ years in leadership.
- Expertise in mechanical design fundamentals and BOM management.
- Experience designing hardware for harsh environments.
- Proficiency in CAD, drawing standards, and design review processes.
- Ability to lead cross-functional technical decisions in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
