Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex electromechanical parts and specialized production tooling.
- Perform hands-on assembly and fabrication tasks, including drilling, machining, and welding.
- Conduct engineering analyses and execute validation testing to verify design integrity.
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and maintain accurate Bills of Materials.
- Collaborate with Electrical Engineering for seamless mechanical integration.
- Work with fabrication shops to resolve production blockers and improve manufacturability.
- Monitor for design defects or manufacturing risks and take proactive actions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 3–6 years of professional experience in a hardware-heavy industry.
- Strong fundamentals in mechanical design using NX or similar CAD packages.
- Hands-on experience with welding, CNC machining, and structural bonding.
- Understanding of mechanics, electrical circuits, fluid systems, and thermodynamics.
- Proficiency with basic shop tools and willingness to be hands-on with hardware.
- Ability to communicate technical status and make quick engineering decisions.
